‘Masss’ was not the initial choice of Suriya-Venkat Prabhu

Suriya-Nayantara starrer Masss is getting ready for release on May 29 and the entire crew was present for the press meet held yesterday at a five star hotel. While speaking on the occasion, Venkat Prabhu said, “Initially, I was just narrating one line of Masss to K.E. Gnanavel Raja at his office while shooting for ‘Biriyani’. I didn’t expect that he would narrate this to Suriya sir. When we discussed few scripts, Suriya sir initially wanted to make a melo-dramatic romantic story. But sooner I realised that even I going to make such a normal story, Suriya fans would fire me. So it all happened to be the birth of ‘Massss’... “
