Chief electoral officer Sandeep Saxena said that around 3.5 crore voters in Tamil Nadu have given their details under the National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP). The NERPAP was launched on March 3 with the objective of weeding out electoral roll duplicates and to make the electoral roll error free.
Chief electoral officer Sandeep Saxena said"So far two special camps for NERPAP have been conducted in the state. Around 20 lakh electors participated in the second camp conducted on April 26. The electors furnished their Aadhaar details along with the contact information and verified the correctness of their information on the electoral roll.�
Out of 5.62 crore electors in Tamil Nadu, details of about 3.5 crore electors have been collected under the NERPAP.
The third special camp would be conducted on May 10.Electors can also email the details to
[email protected] or send an SMS to 166/51969 or give a call to 1950.
