8 TH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVALS IN CHENNAI

The 8th Chennai International Film Festival is scheduled to be held in Chennai from December 15 to 23. The Film festival is expected show case some of the best films from all over the world.
The film festival is organized by Indo-Cine Appreciation Foundation. The CFF is expected to add colour to Chennai’s famous December season of art festivals.
The Festival will show case 125 films from 44 countries, opening with “Soul Kitchen” (Germany) by German-Turkish Fatih Akin (remember his striking “Edge of Heaven”?).
A first this year will be the Film Buff Award, for choosing a Best Film after viewing more than 50 films at the Fest.
The event is being held by ICAF with the support of the Government of Tamil Nadu, SIFCC, FFI and the film fraternity.
There will be five shows every day at Woodlands, Woodlands Symphony and South Indian Film Chamber Theatre.
