Chennai District collector, Ms. Sundaravalli, has informed that jobless youth in Chennai City can apply in the Employment Exchange offices for getting financial assistance.

Youth in Chennai city with academic qualifications 10th Standard, +2, or graduation who are jobless even after 5 years of registering in the Employment Exchange can apply and get monthly financial assistance by applying to the Employment
Exchange office at Santhome or (for those who have completed 10th Standard) the Employment Exchange Office at Nandanam for differently-abled people in Chennai city.
Differently-abled individuals, who have registered more than a year ago, can apply at the employment exchange office for differently-abled located in Guindy special industrial training centre for women complex
The applicants must have registered in the Employment Exchange over the last 5 years with prompt renewals. They should be under 45 years of age for Adi Dravidas, Tribes, etc. and below 40 years of age for other communities without any
employment in private industry or without being self-employed. Annual income should not exceed Rs. 50000/-.
There are no limits for age, annual income or academic qualifications for differently-abled people.
The beneficiaries who are already getting this financial assistance for more than 1 year should apply with self-declaration form, the assistance number, and the employment exchange registration number.
Jobless youth in Chennai who fulfill the above conditions can apply to the concerned employment exchanges and the get the benefit of monthly assistance.
