VELACHERY LAKE TO GET FACE LIFT

Mayor M.Subramanian said that, after reviewing the blueprint of the proposed facilities at Velachery Lake, the Velachery Lake will be developed into a tourist spot. Boating to be launched at a cost of Rs. 5 crore. The lake will have a 750-metre-long tiled walkway along its periphery. A park with Landscaping will be done to make the park very good place to visit. Portion of the lake area will utilized for parking of vehicles.
