Why does the Tamil New Year start on the 1st Of Tamil Month Chithirai?!

Tamil people have been among the most ancient community to excel in astronomy from very ancient times.
They based their life routine on the star Sun. Various other nations in the world followed this.
Tamils divided the orbit of the planet earth around the Sun into 12 parts. The 12 parts are the 12 zodiac symbols. (Aries-Mesham, Rishabam- Taurus, Mithunam-Gemini, Katakam-Cancer, Simmam-Leo, Kanni-Vrgo, Thulam-Libra, Viruchikam-Scorpio, Dhanush-Sagittarius, Makaram-Capricorn, Kumbam- Aquarius, and Meenam-Pisces).
The period when Sun enters the section of Aries is 1st of Chithirai (Tamil Month). Hence, the Tamil people decided to celebrate this day as Tamil New Year’s Day.
Hence, the Tamil people fixed the start of the Tamil New year on a scientific base.
They also divided the 27 stars in the milky way into the 12 zodiac symbols with 3 stars in each symbol.
As the star Ashawthi starts with the Zodiac symbol of Mesha (Aries), it also confirms that the Tamil New Year starts on the 1st of the Tamil Month Chithirai.
They also divided the 12-month year into 6 parts of 2 months each. In Tamil, the first 2 months of Chithirai & Vaikasi were marked as period of ‘ilavenil’ (mild summer). The next 2 months, (Aani & Aadi) were marked as Muthuvenil period (Summer). The next 2 months ( Aavani & Purattasi ) were marked as ‘Kaarkalam’ (identifying cloudy season). The next 2 months of ( Ippasi & Karthikai ) were marked as .`Koodhirkalam’ (onset of winter), The next 2 months of ( Marghazhi & Thai ) were marked as ‘Munpanikalam (Early winter). The last 2 months of ( Masi & Panguni ) were marked as pinpanikalam (winter).
Out of these 6 sections, Ilavenil is marked for the Vasantha Vizha or onset of Spring.
Chithirai Thriuvizha has been traditionally celebrated over thousands of year as the spring of enthusiasm.
