Fees structure for polytechnic, hotel management and catering technology

The board of pricing for education has released a report on pricing for self-finance private polytechnic, hotel management and catering technology colleges. As per Government policy No 191, the fees structure for private polytechnic, hotel management and catering technology colleges was decided by a board of members headed by retired high court jude N.V. Balssubramanyan.
The board involved into discussions at varied levels taking under consideration the documents submitted by the colleges and the study reports. As per all these, below is the fees structure finalized by the board:
· The maximum fee for a student studying in diploma in polytechnic per semester is Rs 15,000. This is inclusive of all fees including tuition fees, admission fees, special fees, sports fees, laboratory charges, etc
· For the same, in case of hotel management and catering technology, the pricing is fixed to be Rs 25,000 per semester. This again is inclusive of all charges including tuition, laboratory, sports, and so on.
