Regular commuters in MTC buses on the down phase

Owing to the increasing number of two wheelers in Chennai city, the use of public transport buses seems to have got hugely reduced that reflects in the passengers� count. Chennai transport department, in addition to the Chennai city also takes care of transportation in Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, etc. According to reports, it�s said that about 82 per cent of passengers in Chennai city buses belonged to regular, or daily commuters. This however is now reduced to 75 per cent, say reports.
