+2 Examination results in May 1st week!

+2 examinations are being conducted in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry from 5th March.

The examinations will be over by 31st March.

8,45,000 students are writing +2 examinations.

Examinations for some subjects like Tamil, English, and a few others have been completed.

Mathematics exam is scheduled on Wednesday, 18th March.

State examination Board has made extensive arrangements to ensure that the examinations are conducted without any malpractices or crimes.

Even as the examinations are going on, the task of correcting the answer papers has also commenced.

The task of correcting answer papers commenced today at 63 educational districts throughout Tamil Nadu.

Tamil answer papers have been corrected. The task has been taken up under the leadership of Chief Examiner. Around 40000 teachers are engaged in this task.

The answer sheets were taken out under top police  security from the answer sheet storage centre.

The correctors have been instructed to concentrate on the task and ensure that there are no rooms for any mistakes.

In Chennai, answer sheet correction work is in progress in 4 centres.

Chennai North Educational District answer sheets are corrected at Anna Nagar J C Moses Girls� High School.

Chennai South Educational District answer sheets are corrected at Ashok Nagar K K Nirmala Girls� High School.

Chennai Central Educational District answer sheets are corrected at CSI St. Ebas High School,

Chennai East Educational District answer sheets are corrected at Muruga Dhanushkodi Girls� High School.

Answer sheet correction work is scheduled till 12th April.

After that, data entry of the marks in computers will commence.

Data entry will be between 20th April & 25th April.

With this, the stage is set for release of results.

State examination Board has decided to release the results during the 1st week of May.

The exact date will be decided after getting approval from the state education minister and secretary.

Over the last few years, results have been announced before 10th May.

Last year, the results were released on 9th May!

This year also, it is expected on the same day.

An official from the Examination Board explained that the results would be ready by 1st week of May. The government will decide the exact date of release of results. Over the last few years, +2 results have been released by the 1st week of May. 

The same practice is likely to be followed this year also without delays, errors or any confusions.

.A new trend of giving temporary mark sheets for the students will be followed this year.

This can be downloaded from the internet within 2 days after the release of +2 results.

This facility has been introduced in order to avoid any delay in joining higher courses.
