KAMALA HAASAN TO DONATE HIS ENDORSEMENT FEES TO FUND HIV TREATMENTS TO CHILDREN

Kamala Haasan was speaking in a programme was organised by TANSACS with the support of Centre for Advocacy and Research (CFAR) and Population Services International (PSI) on Saturday. The program was aimed to highlight efforts taken by Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS) to ensure proper nutritional and psycho-social care to children orphaned by and vulnerable to HIV.
In his speech Kamala Haasan said that if realized our responsibilities we would not need campaigns. He further said that it was our collective responsibility to ensure that children living with HIV are provided proper education, nutrition and medical care.
Kamala Haasan lauded the ‘Petralthaan Pillai Ya` campaign launched last year by PSI.
He announced that he was prepared to donate the endorsement fee to the initiatives undertaken to treat HIV affected children.
