Problems caused by shared autos: Solution through mini-buses!

MTC has planned to overcome the problems faced due to autos & shared autos by introducing more mini-buses.
Some important bus stops in the city, such as the one opposite Loyola College, Choolaimedu traffic-signal bus stop, Anna Nagar Arch bus stop, Perambur Railway Station Bus stop, Taramani/Indira Nagar/Kasturba Nagar MRTS Railway station bus stops are used by the auto drivers and shared auto drivers to pick up passengers.
This leads to traffic jam as well as a long wait for the other vehicles.
MTC officials informed about this issue:
It is decided to introduce mini-buses in the areas where large number of autos/shared autos are plying.
For example, mini-buses will be run between Loyola College Bus stop and Gemini Bus stop or TVS Bus stop.
Survey & analysis is being taken up for selection of routes to run mini-buses.
This is expected to solve the problems created by autos/shared autos to a great extent.
