Metropolitan Transport Corporation makes commuters happy

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation has formed a committee consisting of its officials. This committee will recommend to the Metropolitan Transport Corporation where more buses are required.
 
Metropolitan Transport Corporation based on the committee recommendations have increased cut services in various localities.  Apart from this, it has also increased more bus services in important places. The commuters are very happy because the increased number of cut services.
 
Earlier there was less services between Velacherry and Medavakkam. Because of this people have to wait for many hours. They have to go in autorickshaws paying heavy money. Now because of these new services, people are very happy.  
 
Officials of Metropolitan Transport Corporation say, �Metropolitan Transport Corporation is deploying many methods to resolve the problems of commuters. We have formed a committee to assess the needs of commuters. Similarly we have formed committees to monitor the movement of buses in important places. Apart from the recommendations of the committee, we also take the advice of the general public and other organizations. Cut services buses have been increased were people travel frequently. 8 cut services have been introduced between Sholinganallur and Kelambakkam where there were van services.

Similarly 18 K cut services between Saidapet West and Broadway have been increased. On Sundays, bus services from various areas to Vandalur have been introduced. Now 10 new bus services to Anna Square, Thiruverkadu, Kundrattur, Periyapalayam and OMR have been introduced. On auspicious day, the services are being increased two fold. After finding out the demand in Tambaram and Perungalathur areas, we have started early morning bus services (3 AM) from these destinations to Thiruvanmiyur, Adyar, Koyambedu and Chengalpet. 

A committee has also been constituted to oversee the functioning of these buses. We will continue to introduce new bus services in the required areas. Metropolitan Transport Corporation has introduced a helpline as well as complaint. We are receiving daily 40 to 50 suggestions from the commuters.�
