Chennai Lawyers hold beef eating protest

Chennai lawyers staged a beef eating protest in the Madras High Court campus yesterday for the ban on cow slaughter by Maharashtra Government.
Though there is no law for cow slaughter in Tamil Nadu, but the Chennai protest lawyers said that they were condemning the the Government of Maharashtra cow slaughter law.
Earlier Hindu Munnani leader Ramagopalan had demanded to Tamil Nadu Government should also follow the Maharashtra law, the protesting lawyers said that they apprehended that the state government might listen to the Ramagopalan. Hence they held the protest as a preemptive measure.
