Anna University Counselling for Engineering Courses to start by end June!

The Vice-chancellor of Anna University, Professor M Rajaram, informed that the counselling session for engineering courses will start by end June.
Anna University’s Coordinated Education Team conducted a meeting headed by the vice-chancellor.
The vice-chancellor answered some of the questions after the meeting:
There are 539 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. There are 44 colleges for architecture.
Students who have written +2 examinations will apply for the various courses in the above colleges.
Like last year, the counselling will be conducted in Chennai city only. Application form costs Rs. 500/-. .For Adi-dravidar & Old tribes, it is Rs. 20 after submitting the proofs.
240000 applications are to be printed. Counselling is scheduled for end June. It will be conducted for 40 days.
Nothing can be told at this juncture about the number of new engineering colleges.
The exact dates for counselling have not yet been decided.
Counselling for engineering will start immediately after 3 days of counselling for medical courses.
If the students happen to be the first graduates in their family, they can mention the same in their applications to get some concessions.
