Chennai city to receive Amma theatres soon

State government is planning to construct 15 Amma theatres in T-nagar. Ideas and concepts for these are being done for now and 2 of these theatres are likely to get opened in its first phase. As of now, no deadline is fixed for the cinema halls. According to sources, canteens, toilets, AC halls, enough parking space, etc will be made available in these theatres and the ticket price would be Rs 25.
Locations for the first set of eight theatres are finalized for now by the corporations. Most of these unused buildings, land areas, etc which are now turned into affordable entertainment solution. These locations include:
· Usman road
· Wall tax road
· Ramapuram
· Basin bridge
· Kotturpuram
· GN Chetty road
· Thyagaraja road junction
· Basin bridge
· Mogappair
