Strict actions will be taken against medical shops who sell medicines without doctor’s prescription

The Tami Nadu Government has warned that stringent action will be taken against medical shops who sell medicines without prescription. A review meeting was convened by Tamil Nadu Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar to assess the situation of swine flu. After the meeting a statement was released. 

The statement read, “Various steps are being taken in Tamil Nadu to prevent swine flu. But this viral fever is more seen in the neighboring states like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It has also been decided to conduct awareness camps on the disease at the airport, railway stations. The government has set up 24-hour call centre that would provide medical advice to people. District Collectors have been directed to take action against those pharmacies which give medicines without any prescription.”
