INDIAN BANK CELEBRATES 100 YEARS OF MYLAPORE BRANCH

Indian Bank CMD T.M. Bhasin felicitated Ramamurthy Iyer, grandson of Krishnasamy Iyer, founder of Indian Bank, at the centenary celebration of the Mylapore branch of the bank on Thursday. 

P. Vijayan, Indian Maritime University Vice-Chancellor , Sarojini Varadappan, Social Worker , S.Ve. Shekher MLA , Vyjayanthimala Bali , K. Srikkanth,BCCI Selection Committee Chairman were present in the function..

While addressing the gathering the chairman of the bank said that Indian Bank was considered the best bank in India and that the bank was committed to providing the best banking services to its customners.

The Mylapore branch which is 100 years old is the third branch of Indian Bank. The branch currently servicing Rs.500 crore businesses is expected to double the business in the next three years, he added. The Indian Bank has advanced close to Rs 8000 crore as Education Loan which next only to  SBI among the nationalized banks , The Chairman said.
