A password management company, head-quartered at Las Gatos, California, has conducted a research on the millions of stolen & leaked passwords in circulation and prepared a list of them.
The password, �123456�, is the maximum used.
Next in the list are 12345 & 12345678.
Many people have used passwords such as monkey, qwerty, 123123, 111111, superman, and Jennifer.
As passwords are being used in more and more services like e-mail, ATM, etc, most people use passwords which are easy to remember.
However, this becomes easy for the hackers.
The company has given some suggestions to prevent this.
Do not use your favourite sports, birth date, names of celebrities, and words which are easy to type.
It is advisable go for alpha-numeral passwords (a combination of alphabets & numerals).
The list was compiled from the data of North America & countries in Europe.
The hackers who steal data from websites & corporate networks normally tend to disclosed the passports.
