Chennaites are advised to open bank accounts under Prime Minister Scheme

Chennai Collector E Sundaravalli has advised the Chennaites to open bank saving accounts under the Prime Minister scheme.
In a statement she has mentioned, �On Independence Day 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a new scheme under which every family living in India must have a bank account. This scheme is known as Jan Dhan Yojana. As per this, all the banks from 16/08/2014 have been serious in implementing this scheme. As per the statistics of banks, all the families in Chennai have bank accounts. The Conference Committee Meeting in Chennai will be held on 28th of this month. It has been decided to announce that 100% target has been achieved under Jan Dhan Yojana. It is advised that families who do not have bank account should approach the nearby bank branch and open an account immediately.�
