Polio immunization camps to be inaugurated on Sunday

43,000 pulse polio immunization camps will be inaugurated across Tamil Nadu on Sunday. More than 2 lakh health workers and 3,000 vehicles will be involved in administering vaccination for nearly 70 lakh children below the age of 5 years. To benefit children who are travelling, the government has also organized 1,000 transit booths in significant places like bus stands, railway stations and airports and more than 1,000 mobile crews will travel to rural areas. The camps will operate from 7am to 5pm. The second round of vaccination will be administered on February 22.
