Central Ministry of Trade & Commerce: No plans to impose any restriction on gold import

The secretary of the ministry of commerce & trade, Mr. Rajiv Kher, informed that the government has no plans to impose any additional restrictions on gold imports.
He also informed that the condition that 20% of the gold imported should exported back as jewellery stands withdrawn.
He observed that there is trend of reduction of gold import even after the removal of restriction.
Considering this, he informed there are currently no plans to impose any additional restrictions on gold import.
