Central Government reports fall in Gold import!

Central government’s Commerce Secretary, Mr.Rajiv Kher, has informed that the gold import during the month of November came down by 39 tons.
He informed that a total of 152 tons of gold were imported. In January, 7 tons of gold has been imported until now.
As there has been less gold import during the month of December, there is no major concern for import-export deficit.
The period between September to November being a festival and marriage season, there was more demand for gold. Hence, the import of gold during these 3 months was higher.
