Films that are out of Pongal race

It was earlier announced that Ajith starrer Yennai Arindhaal, Vikram starrer I, Vishal starrer Aambala, Karthi starrer Komban and Sivakarthikeyan starrer Khaki Sattai will be released on 14th January on the occasion of Pongal. At a time when it was expected that five films will be released, it was announced that Yennai Arindhaal will be released on 29th January.
Now it is understood that the film Komban and Khaki Sattai will be released during the month of February. Official announcement is expected soon.
As on date, the release of the films I and Aambala are confirmed for Pongal. The main reason for other films to be released later is due to non availability of theatres. Apart from this, it would be difficult to see the opening collections.
