Jandhan Yojana ďż˝ Bank Accounts touch the 10 Crore mark!

The central government had set the target of opening 10 Crore Bank Savings Accounts under the Jandhan Yojana to benefit the common poor citizens.
This target has been achieved 1 month in advance!
The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, inaugurated the Jandhan Yojana Scheme on 28th August to facilitate 10 Crore people to open savings accounts before the Republic Day, 26th January.
In the initial stages, the target set was 8 Crore accounts to be opened.
However, Jandhan scheme met with tremendous success and popularity enabling a revised upward target of 10 Crore savings account before January, 2015.
Now, the central government has released a press report that the target of 10 Crore saving account has been reached 1 month in advance as on 26th December, 2014.
