Chances of rain or thunderstorm in Chennai

The Met department said that Monday will be cloudy with chances of rain or thunderstorm. It will be cloudy for the next two days with chances of rain. As the year ends the minimum temperature will drop by 2�C with early January set to be the coolest time of the season. Since the clouds trap heat reflected by earth`s surface, temperatures will remain consistent through the day.
A low pressure system that is positioned over the Sri Lankan coast is moving to wards northern Andhra Pradesh, but the system is predicted to weaken and hence may not bring much rainfall.
