Cooking oil prices to go up because of additional taxes!

The central government has raised the import tax on unrefined & refined cooking oil by 5%.
Unrefined oil import duty, which is currently at 2.5%, is increased to 7.5%.
Refined oil import duty, which is currently at 10%, is increased to 15%.
Central customs & Excise department has released this information.
The ministry of Food department sources informed that this step has been taken to protect the domestic cooking oil manufacturers.
