Chennai Corporation to shift to new premises

The Ripon Buildings annexe, renamed Amma Maaligai, will start operations from Pongal day in 2015.Around 1,000 civic body officials are set to shift to a new building.
It will house the largest number of civic body officials. With all departments of the Chennai Corporation headquarters shifting to the new building, the structure is expected to emerge as a landmark in the city.
