BJP chief Amit Shah will address his first public meeting in Chennai at Maramalainagar on the city outskirts on December 20.State BJP vice president M Chakravarthy said the site was a designated ground for holding election meetings. Earlier, the party had been trying to host the meeting within city limits. Several alternatives were considered but then rejected on security grounds. Police finally gave the nod for the ground at Maramalainagar in Chengalpet district. Shah will be on a two-day visit from next Saturday.
