With the commencement of Sabarimala season, arrival of pilgrims to the hill temple increased manifold, with the temple receiving more than 70,000 pilgrims a day.
Security personnel had a tough time managing the crowd.
The Golden Rath path around the hill temple was flooded with pilgrims.
The existing parking lot meant for private buses and other vehicles near Idumban Hill was overflowing.
Vehicles were parked on Giri Veedhis and other road around the hill.
