Tirupathi: Only 130000 devotees to be permitted on this New Year’s Day coinciding with Vaikunda Ekadasi!

English New year’s Day Aasthanam on 1st January and the festival of Vaikunta Dwadasi are scheduled to be celebrated at Tirupathi.

A huge crowd of devotees is expected on this occasion.

TTD Board has been making arrangements to ensure minimum hardships for devotees and there are no untoward incidents in the queue movements.

For the 2 days on 1st & 2nd January, only 130000 devotees will be allowed.

Elders, persons with children of less than 1 year age, and differently-abled persons will all be not allowed to enter the temple for Darshan for these 2 days.

The tickets for Divya Darisanam on 1st & 2nd, and the Prathyeag Pravesa Darshan on 1st January are also cancelled.

 Rs. 300/- Darshan ticket will be sold as usual on 2nd January.

On the occasion of the New Year’s Day, The main deity will be decorated with flowers. There will be a special Abhishekham performed for the main deity on 2nd January. Because of this, Darshan time is reduced.  Only the direct VIP devotees will be given priority.

Recommendation letter for Darshan & Lodging will be discarded for these 2 days.

Only 4 persons will be allowed for each VIP ticket. The number of VIP tickets sold on these 2 days is also reduced.

All Arjitha sevas are also cancelled.

5 Lakhs Laddus are kept in stock.

Additional buses will be run.

Temporary shelters will be erected for the devotees standing for long hours in the queue.

Vehicle parking will be provided in several places.
