Essay contests on Bharati

The University Grants Commission has called on colleges with women study centres to organise essay competitions and seminars to commemorate the birth anniversary of Tamil poet Subramania Bharati on December 11. The topics would pertain to the contributions made by the poet to the empowerment of women.
The UGC has asked that the information be sent to all colleges that have women study centres. Colleges may email their compliance to Archana Thakur, Deputy Secretary of the UGC atarchana.ugc@nic.in.
