Police advise to check antecedents of domestic help

After a recent spate of home robberies in which there has been Involvement of domestic help, the police have cautioned residents to verify the antecedents of household employees like maidservants and car drivers before employing them.
They have also requested the residents to inform the nearest police station if they lock the house and go on a long vacation. Each police station maintains a locked house register. A book is kept at the entrance of the locked house which is signed regularly by a constable on rounds. Senior officers also do surprise checks of locked houses.
