Bullet trains to reach New Delhi in 6 hours

Indian Railways is planning to introduce Bullet trains. When the day comes and the plan becomes a reality, will it not be a great relief to reach our capital from Chennai in just 6 hours? The technological developments are fast and India is ready for that challenge.
The whole project needs Rs. 2,24,000 crores. Now as the economical position of India has greatly strengthened recently, we are ready to take up such mega projects in hand. If this project gets completed successfully, this will be the second longest line in the world. The first one is the Beijing-Guangzhou line in China covering 2,298 km. The proposed New Delhi – Chennai corridor is 1,754 km. Such a mega project will definitely have to meet many hurdles on its way. The foremost will be the ‘land acquisition’ part.
Chinese are the first in line who are likely to get the opportunity to study the project and complete it. It has been calculated that it will take a decade to complete the project. Japanese are the next in line competing for the chance. It is not far when people from Chennai will get a ticket, travel in comfort in Bullet train and reach the capital in 6 hrs, neat and clean to attend their work.
