Dip in price of hotel rooms

With the onset of holiday season, it is likely that the hotel tariffs will go up, but the case with Chennai seems to be opposite to it. In most number of five star hotels, the room tariff is of the range Rs 5000 and Rs 7000 per night. The rates of rooms are facing a consistent dip for over a year the reason being domestic and international travel, especially several business travel. Enhancing this decrease in pricing is the addition of about thousand luxury rooms in past two years. The availability of rooms is nearly doubled in past few years.
