TN manages to collect just 44 per cent of the total estimated revenue this fiscal year

With just four months left for the fiscal year to end, Tamil Nadu has managed to realize just 44 per cent of the targeted revenue under registration charges which accounts to a significant part of the tax revenue of the state.
M.C. Sampath Minister of commercial taxes and registration reviewed the department’s overall performance on Wednesday and invited all the officials to contribute a coordinated effort towards achieving the targeted revenue.
Between April and October, the total revenue collected was Rs 4,585.07 crore, but the total target was Rs 10,470.18 crore.
