Police order: GPS Equipment must be installed in all school vans & vehicles!

Chennai Police has ordered that all school vehicles must be fitted with GPS equipment.
A meeting was conducted at the Office of the Chennai Police Commissioner with all the school principals, headmasters and administrators regarding strengthening the security arrangements in schools.
Following the meeting, Chennai Police issued strict orders to be implemented immediately:
- Surveillance cameras must be installed in school campus as well as the outside the main entrance. The cameras and the pictures should be clear and of high quality.
- The personal details of all drivers & cleaners operating the school vehicles with their photographs must be gathered and maintained. The parents also must be aware about these details.
- All school vehicles must be fitted with GPS equipment.
- The school administration is responsible for the safe return of students. Parents should also be equally aware about the return of their children.
