Southern Railway invites applications for recruitment

Southern Railway has released a recruitment notice for engaging full time medical practitioners on contract basis for a duration of one year from the date of employment.
Vacancies-
Super specialty Cardiac Surgeon- 01 post
General Duty Medical Officer- 25 posts which will be bifurcated in following divisions:
Railway Hospital/ Perambur- 06
Chennai Division- 06
Trichy Division- 08
Madurai Division- 03
Palghat Division- 01
Salem Division- 01 post
Eligibility-
Super speciality Cardiac Surgeon-
The applying candidate should have passed M.ch (cardio thoracic surgery) or equivalent and registered with the Indian Medical Council.
The applicant should have one year experience in the respective super specialty.
General Duty Medical Officer-
The applying candidate should have done MBBS and registered with the Indian Medical Council.
He/she should also have one year experience.
The maximum age limit of the applying candidate should be 50 years.
Salary-
Super specialty Cardiac Surgeon- The selected candidate will be paid a remuneration of Rs. 75,000/-
General Duty Medical Officer- The selected candidate will be paid a remuneration of Rs. 55,000/-
Selection Process-
Interested candidates will be selected on the basis of interview as decided by the recruitment committee.
A medical examination will also be taken to ensure fitness of the candidates.
