Aavin milk, butter and ghee price hiked

The Tamil Nadu government has decided to increase Aavin milk price by Rs 10 a litre. The price increase will be effective from today ( November 1). The current price of Aavin milk per litre is Rs 24.
Prices of Aavin�s butter and ghee have been hiked by the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers� Federation Ltd from 1st November.
Apart from milk, Aavin�s most popular products are its cooking butter and ghee.
The city consumes three tonnes each of Aavin�s cooking butter and ghee a day.
The price of cooking butter, ghee and ice cream have gone up by Rs 15-45
Cheese, another popular product, has witnessed a hike of Rs. 15 per 200 gm packet.
