Increasing online shopping sites and the reason behind

E-commerce industry in India has been growing on and on especially in the recent years. Investments in exorbitant levels are done in the sector. Though the e-commerce made its inception in the Indian market a decade ago, it is in its rapid phase of gaining popularity in the recent years.
Earlier, buyers were espial about books and other consumer electronic items in the earlier days, but now they are all elevated to the next level of online shopping, as they show huge interest in purchasing apparels, footwear, accessories, and more. According to results from a new study report, fashion tops the list with most purchases done on it. Considering next three years down the line, fashion industry is expected to find good growth of 400%.
A social commerce and cash back website called baggout.com conducted a survey on the usage of e-commerce site and possible risk factors associated with it. Here is an excerpt from the survey report:
· Over 50% of buyers prefer to buy fashion products like clothes, shoes or accessories online at a frequency of once in a month. About 31% of population buy on rare occasions or never buy at all
· The two most products purchased online are clothes and footwear
· The reason behind such a huge hype for online shopping is the comfort to shop by being at home, availability of low priced products, attractive discounts, abundant collections
Problems with online shopping:
Though online shopping offers good level of comfort and ease, it has with it its own negative elements. The industry has to take necessary steps to solve the existing problems so that it doesn’t get derailed at any point of time.
· One of the major impediments with online shopping is to check the right size of product that suits the user. Though they have liberal refund or return policies, people are distressed in more number of incidents
· The next is the touch and feel which they can experience through live shopping. Online shopping doesn’t allow the user to gain such experience as the best it can do is zoom it to minute detailing with images
