Petrol price slashed by Rs 1 a litre

Petrol price was cut by Rs 1 a litre.The revised prices will be applicable from the midnight of 15th October.
In Chennai, petrol price was cut from Rs 70.87 to Rs 69.59 per litre.
Reduction in diesel rates will have to wait till completion of assembly polls.
