As a step to help people in knowing the government employees, officials and their presence, a new website has been launched. The site address goes http://attendance.gov.in/. This will have details about the availability and presence of all government officials. This not meant only for the government employees to refer, but for the general public too.
It helps in knowing if a specific official has come to work or not. The website got officially launched on September 30. This will maintain all records of working hours of employees, in-time, out-time, etc.
As of now, about 50,926 employees belonging to 149 varied departments are registered with this website. Speaking to a senior official about the newly launched website, he said the idea was conceived by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that the site would help in knowing how prompt the officials are.
This really is an excellent move to help the public who never have had good access to government employees until the website got launched!
