Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar speaks about vacancy in Srirangam constituency

Today the Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar while speaking to the media on the vacancy in Srirangam constituency, which has arisen after the conviction and jailing of AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa in a disproportionate assets case, said "As per the law, elections are to be held in six months after the vacancy. The Assembly Secretary has not notified the vacancy to us. I have informed the Election Commission about the situation in which the vacancy has arisen. So we have time and so let`s not ask any hypothetical questions."
