Draft Voters list to be released next week

For the services of inclusion of new names, change of address, etc, a draft list of voters will be released next week. Election Commission officials are on the final stages of completing this task.
Traditionally, a correction is carried out every year on the voters list in a short-time process. This correction work is being taken up this year as well. The draft list for this purpose is being released this week.
Election Commission officials are planning to release it on 15th October.
Draft voters list is nothing but a copy of the existing list of voters. Checks can be made whether certain names are included or whether the address is right.
Correction work is planned during the 1st week of November.
Those who are more than 18 years old and those who complete 18 years on 1st January, 2014 can apply for inclusion during this correction.
The applications received will be verified and it is planned to release the new colour photo voter Ids on the National Voters Day on 25th January.
