Steep rise in Palm Oil prices � split gram prices fall!

Palm oil prices have gone up in Virudhunagar due to prices rise in raw material. However, the prices of split gram and �punnakku� (cake) have reduced.
Following the recent price rise of crude palm oil in the Chicago market, the price of palm oil in Virudhunagar has gone up by Rs. 15/- to Rs. 840 �Rs. 855/- for a tin of 15 kg.
At the some time, the price of split gram has reduced by Rs. 300/- from Rs. 5000/- per bag to Rs. 4700/-. And the split gram cake (kadalai punnakku) has reduced by Rs. 200 from Rs. 4500 per bag to Rs. 4300/- per bag.
