Chennai to get wet

The city has been receiving surprise rains for the past few days and officials in Metrological office say that it would continue for the next 24 hours as well.

According to the officials, the cloudy weather, accompanied by bursts of shower yesterday morning were due to upper air circulation activity in and around Lakshwa deep. The forecast predicts the sky to be generally cloudy, and rains or thundershowers may occur in some areas of the city.

At 8.30 am today, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded maximum temperatures of 35.3 degree Celsius each, and minimum temperatures of 25.4 and 24 degree Celsius respectively. The maximum temperature will be 34 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 25 degree Celsius.

Rains will occur within the next 24 hours in Tamilnadu and Puducherry, with emphasis on occurrences in some regions in southern Tamilnadu.
