Alstom Foundation, established in 2007, supports a wide range of initiatives designed to support communities committed to improving and preserving the environment. The Foundation has been serving countries in Asia, Africa, Australia and South America, Mr. Timothy said in his address. Referring to Alstom`s association with BHEL, he said the longstanding relationship has resulted in technological transfer of its supercritical once-through boiler technology to the latter.

Presiding over, Mr. Krishnan acknowledged that relationship with Alstom has moved from a professional to personal plane. Arivalayam, he said, was rendering service by making the disabled children independent. Through imparting vocational training, the institution has succeeded in inducting many in industries, he said.
