Port Area to be monitored through radio waves!

A new system using radio waves to monitor the various activities in the Chennai port area is set to be introduced in order to improve the security in the area and to ease the congestion of the freight container tucks.
Chennai Port will be the 2nd Port to use this system.
More than 2000 container trucks enter & leave the port are on a daily basis. This creates heavy traffic congestion both inside & outside the port area. The port management has been taking several measures to ease this traffic congestion.
As a part of these measures, a system operating though the equipment employing radio waves will be installed to monitor the activities & movements in the port area. Chennai Port has already commenced activities for this installation.
