COIMBATORE SCHOOLS CELEBRATE WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Yuvabharathi Public School, the Hindu celebrated    World Environment Day on the premises of the school.

A release says 25 saplings were planted on the occasion. G.K.K.V. Umashankar, Senior Regional Manager, and Ramesh Sampath, Manager, Finanace, from HPCL and C. Anand, Secretary, and Geetha Jeyachandran, Principal, of Yuva Bharathi Public School, participated in the function.

St. Thomas English High School observed World Environment Day. A release says students participated in poster making, essay writing and other events organised for the purpose.

Shri Baldevdas Kikani Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School celebrated World Environment Day. The event organised on the day started with a prayer by school choir, followed by a group discussion by students to create awareness on environment protection.

Students delivered speeches in various languages. The highlight was the oath taking by students to keep the school campus clean.
Sri Ragavendra Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School students celebrated World Environment Day by planting saplings on campus. A release says principal S. Sivagamasundari asked the students to treat plants with kindness as they had life. Students also spoke on the occasion.

Premier Vidyaa Vikash Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Uliyampalayam, celebrated World Environment Day. Students enthusiastically planted saplings. Members of Eco Club vowed to nurture the saplings. Class X students delivered speeches to instil social awareness among students.

Park Global School celebrated World Environment Day. A release says staff and students were dressed in green outfits. Students highlighted the importance of planting saplings and the disadvantages of cutting trees. Students also planted saplings on the campus.
