Valvil Ori festival on August 2 and 3

The annual Valvil Ori festival, flower expo and tourist vizha will be held atop Kolli Hills on August 2 and 3.
Assembly Speaker P. Dhanapal and Minister for Industries P. Thangamani will inaugurate the two-day festival in the presence of Namakkal District Collector V. Dakshinamoorthy at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Semmedu in Kolli Hills.
As part of the festival, flower show, cultural programmes and archery competitions will also be conducted and prizes distributed to the winners.
The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the festival as a large crowd is expected from nearby districts.
