ELCOT’S IT PARK INAUGURATED BY STALIN

M.K. Stalin Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated ELCOT`s IT Park at the Special Economic Zone at Sholinganallur on Thursday. The Deputy Minister informed the gathering in his speech that The State had recorded a growth rate of 29 per cent in information technology as against the all-India rate of 12 per cent.
He informed that the state had achieved export turnover of Rs 36,680 Crores out of national turnover of R 2, 20, 000 Crore in 2008-2009. He said that the
IT parks in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. Soon ELCOT`s IT parks would be opened in Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchi, Salem, Hosur, Tirunelveli, and Vellore in line with Government’s policy of promoting tier 1 and tier 2 cities
